Local Paving

Asphalt paving across southeastern Pennsylvania

H&H Asphalt Paving serves homeowners, businesses, property managers, and other property owners across our southeastern Pennsylvania service area. Our coverage includes Chester County, Delaware County, and Montgomery County, where paving projects range from suburban driveways and private roads to commercial parking lots, resurfacing, asphalt repair, and ongoing pavement maintenance.

The region’s mix of older neighborhoods, commercial corridors, wooded properties, and sloped terrain makes drainage and base preparation central to a successful paving project. We look at grade, runoff, the existing pavement, and the way the surface will be used before recommending new asphalt, resurfacing, repair, or maintenance.

Our Process

How we approach asphalt paving in southeastern Pennsylvania

Every project starts with the pavement, base, drainage, and intended use. Longer private drives, sloped properties, established suburban neighborhoods, and busy commercial surfaces each put different demands on the pavement, so the recommendation should follow the property rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

  1. 1

    Site inspection

We evaluate the existing pavement, traffic patterns, drainage, grading, and the condition of the base before recommending a scope of work.

  2. 2

    Removal & preparation

Failed pavement and unstable material are removed as needed so the new surface is not being placed over a weak foundation.

  3. 3

    Grading & drainage

The surface is graded to move water away from structures and low areas. Drainage is a major factor in long-term pavement performance.

  4. 4

    Stone base

A stable, compacted stone base is installed or rebuilt where needed to support the pavement above it.

  5. 5

    Asphalt installation

Hot-mix asphalt is installed at a depth appropriate for the property, expected traffic, and type of paving project.

  6. 6

    Rolling & compaction

The new asphalt is compacted into a dense, even surface designed to resist movement and premature deterioration.

  7. 7

    Cleanup & finishing

Edges, transitions, and surrounding work areas are finished and cleaned before the project is completed.

  8. 8

    Aftercare

We explain curing and maintenance recommendations so the new pavement has the best chance to perform well over time.
